Agartala, 18th January 2025:   In a harrowing ordeal, the Rupali Furniture shop in Melaghar Bora Pathar has been set ablaze twice within two days with the miscreants attempting to burn the owner and his family alive in the latest incident. The shop owner Malek Mia expressed his distress directly to the Chief Minister Professor Dr. Manik Saha this afternoon.

Several days back, a theft was reported at Rupali Furniture shop. When the thieves failed to take everything, they set the shop on fire on Friday night. Despite immediate media coverage, the miscreants returned on Saturday morning and set fire to the shop again, attempting to harm Malek Mia and his family. Fortunately, they managed to escape the house just in time.

Malek Mia shared his plea with the Chief Minister, stating, “We are not safe! We have filed complaints at Sonamura Police Station, but no action is being taken.” He is baffled by the continuous attacks and unable to comprehend the motive behind them.
