Agartala, August 23, 2022: In the state cabinet meeting on Tuesday, it has been decided that the flight services between Agartala and Chittagong will start shortly.
Speaking to reporters at Civil Secretariat here on Tuesday afternoon, cabinet spokesperson and ICA minister Sushanta Chowdhury said “The council of minister today in a meeting approved flight services between Agartala and Chittagong will start shortly and most probably, Spicejet airlines will be connected between these two cities.”
“The flight services between Agartala and Chittagong will be for three days in a week. This decision has been taken up consultation with union ministry of Civil Aviation and has been initiated by the government of India under UDAN scheme early this year,” he added.
Minister said “As the flow of passengers would be around 50 percent after beginning of international flight services between Agartala and Chittagong, the government will bear an estimated expenditure of Rs 15 crore as viable gap funding over an year. And flight fare is Rs 4500.”
