Cancer awareness camp held at Agartala Press Club

Agartala, 4th November 2023:   A cancer awareness camp was organized by Agartala Press Club, Peerless Hospital and BK Roy Research Center on Saturday. The camp was inaugurated by Rabindra Pai, the Deputy Managing Director of Peerless Hospital, who lit the lamp at the Agartala Press Club premises. Jayanta Bhattacharjee, the President of Agartala Press Club and Anup Bhakta, the Assistant General Manager of Marketing Department of Peerless Hospital, were also present on the occasion.

The camp featured a discussion on cancer awareness by three oncologists from Peerless Hospital, Kolkata. They were Dr. Shaubnik Shatapati, Dr. Abhishek Datta and Dr. Pragati Sinhal. They talked about the causes, symptoms, prevention and treatment of various types of cancer. They also answered the queries of the participants and gave them free advice on how to stay cancer-free.

The camp was attended by the members, associates and journalists of Agartala Press Club. They appreciated the initiative and thanked the organizers for conducting such a useful and informative event. They also expressed their hope that more such camps would be held in the future to spread awareness about cancer and other health issues.
