Candlelight silence in city for Manipur victims

Agartala, 3rd May 2026:   On the occasion of Manipuri Waking Day, the Thowgan Lup Manipuri Socio-Cultural Organisation organized a solemn tribute meeting at Dhaleswar. The event was held to mourn and protest the tragic deaths of two children in Manipur on April 7, who lost their lives while asleep.

Participants lit candles and observed silence as a mark of respect, voicing a collective call for peace and humanity. The gathering also demanded that such incidents must never be repeated, stressing the need for safety and compassion in society.
