Chief Minister and State BJP President Extend Independence Day Greetings

Agartala, 15th August 2026: Chief Minister Professor Dr. Manik Saha extended Independence Day greetings to the people of Tripura as the state joined the nation in celebrating the 80th Independence Day.

The Chief Minister hoisted the national flag at his official residence in the morning and observed the occasion with officials and staff. Speaking to the media, he described Independence Day as a special occasion and said various programmes had been organised across the state, continuing until August 17.

He stressed the importance of educating the younger generation about India’s freedom struggle and instilling respect for the sacrifices of freedom fighters.

Later, Saha visited the state BJP office and hoisted the national flag. State BJP president Abhishek Debroy was present on the occasion and extended Independence Day greetings to the people of Tripura. He appealed to citizens to work responsibly for the progress and security of the country.
