Agartala, 29th November 2025: Basundhara Welfare Society, located at Purba Champamura in Old Agartala, West Tripura, organized a “Swachhata Abhiyan” (Cleanliness Drive) this morning near the Old Agartala Bypass. Alongside the cleanliness campaign, members also carried out a tree plantation program to promote environmental awareness and community well-being.
The initiative was led by the key office bearers of the society, namely Narayan Chandra Pal, Secretary; Asim Purkayastha, President; Badal Chandra Das, Joint Treasurer; and Ranjit Sarkar, a respected guardian and community elder.
Several other members and well-wishers actively participated in the program, contributing to both the cleaning efforts and the plantation drive.
Speaking on the occasion, the organizers emphasized the importance of maintaining cleanliness in public spaces and increasing greenery to ensure a healthier environment for future generations. The society expressed gratitude to all participants and appealed for wider community support in sustaining such initiatives.
