CM Chairs Meeting to Review Security Arrangements for NEET (UG)

Agartala, 2nd May 2025:  Ahead of the NEET (UG) 2025 examination scheduled for Sunday, May 4, Tripura Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha presided over a high-level meeting today to assess preparedness and ensure the smooth conduct of the exam across the state.

The meeting, convened at the video conference hall of the State Secretariat, saw the participation of Chief Secretary J.K. Sinha, DGP (Intelligence) Anurag, Special Secretary of the Education Department Ravel Hemendra Kumar, and Home Department Secretary Apurba Roy.

The discussions centered around security protocols and logistical arrangements for the exam day. The District Magistrates and Superintendents of Police for West Tripura and Dhalai districts have already conducted security reviews at the designated examination centers and confirmed that all necessary precautions are in place.

According to a press release from the Higher Education Department, a total of 4,892 candidates from Tripura are set to take part in this year’s NEET (UG) exam, which will be conducted across 11 centers—10 in West Tripura and 1 in Dhalai district.

In West Tripura, the examination centers include Maharaja Bir Bikram College, Bir Bikram Memorial College, Banibidyapith Girls H.S. School, Kendriya Vidyalaya Kunjaban No. 1, Institute of Advanced Studies in Education (I.A.S.E), Kendriya Vidyalaya ONGC, Hindi Higher Secondary School, and Shishu Bihar Higher Secondary School.

In Dhalai district, the exam will take place at Kamalpur Government English Medium Class XII School.

Authorities have assured that stringent security measures are in place to ensure the smooth and successful conduct of the examination.
