CM Manik Saha Offers Financial Aid to kind of Drowned minor boys

Agartala, 24th June 2025:  Tripura Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha on Tuesday extended financial assistance to the families of three minors who tragically drowned while bathing in a pond on June 17 at the Arundhatinagar Agricultural Research Centre in Agartala.

The victims—Bobby Shukla Das (17), Shubham Deb (17), and Shubhjit Dey (15)—were residents of the Badharghat Matripalli area. The Chief Minister met the grieving families at his official residence and handed over ex-gratia payments of ₹4 lakh to each family on behalf of the state government.

Terming the incident as deeply unfortunate, Dr. Saha expressed his condolences and shared his sorrow on social media. “I am deeply saddened by the tragic death of three young lives due to drowning. I pray that God gives strength to the bereaved families during this difficult time,” he wrote.

He further informed that the administration has been directed to take necessary measures to prevent such incidents in the future.
