CM started ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign by purchasing the national flag

Agartala, August 05, 2022: Chief Minister Prof Dr Manik Saha has started ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign by purchasing the national flag on Tuesday. He bought two national flags from a stationary shop at Orient Chowmuhni here in Agartala. Purchasing the national flag, the Chief Minister called on the citizens of all parts of the state to hoist the national flag at their homes on August 13, 14 and 15 to make the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign successful.

Speaking to the media while purchasing the national flag, the Chief Minister said, the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign as a part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, has been taken up across the country as well as in the state.

Responding to the Prime Minister’s call, the state government has already taken various initiatives to make the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign successful in the state as well. The Chief Minister informed that a target of 60% of the total households in the state has been taken to hoist the national flag. As a result, 5 lakh families of the state will participate in this ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign. As a result of this, a sense of patriotism will be manifested among the people and tribute will be paid to all those brave heroes who have laid their lives for the country’s freedom. The state government calls on every citizen of the state to purchase the national flag.

While responding to a question asked by the media, the Chief Minister informed that he is going to attend the NITI Aayog meeting at New Delhi today. Various issues related to the interest of the state including the progress of various flagship projects will be discussed in the meeting.
