Colorful welfare rally marks ‘1432 Bangabdha Barshavaran’ celebration at Udaipur

Agartala, 19th April 2025:   Udaipur witnessed its first colorful welfare rally today commemorating the occasion of ‘1432 Bangabdha Barshavaran’. The event was jointly organized by Gomati Zilla Parishad, Udaipur Municipal Council, Information and Cultural Affairs Department and Gomati District administration showcasing the rich cultural harmony of the district.

Finance Minister Pranajit Singha Roy along with MLA Abhishek Debroy, MLA Jitendra Majumdar Gomati district’s DM Tarit Kanti Chakma, social worker Sabita Nag, Udaipur Municipal Council Mayor Shital Chandra Majumdar and Gomati Zilla Parishad Sabhadipati Debal Debroy inaugurated the rally with great enthusiasm. The procession began at the Udaipur Sports Complex Maidan, passed through Newtown Road and Central Road and concluded in front of Nazrul Library.

Minister Singha Roy emphasized the importance of the rally, stating that it symbolized unity among people of all religions, castes, and communities. He remarked, “This procession highlights our tradition of harmony and reinforces the bond between diverse communities. Let us celebrate this day in the spirit of unity, culture, and the brightness of the New Year.”
