Condolence meeting held in memory of late CPIM leader Gauri Pal

Agartala, 24th May 2025:  A condolence meeting was held at the Khowai Tripura Government Teachers Association’s divisional office this afternoon to pay tribute to the late CPIM leader Gauri Pal. The event was attended by several senior party members.

Former Chief Minister Manik Sarkar was present at the gathering, alongside former Minister Aghore Debbarma and MLA Nirmal Biswas. They were accompanied by Padma Kumar Debbarma, Gayatri Datta, Sukhendu Bikash Dey and Manindra Das. Gauri Pal’s husband, Ajay Ghosh and their daughter also participated alongside various party officials.

The proceedings began with a tribute to the late leader, as Manik Sarkar and other CPIM leaders garlanded her portrait. A moment of silence was observed in her memory. Speaking at the event, Sarkar described Pal as a “fighting leader” who remained committed to the party throughout her life, emphasizing her role in shaping CPIM’s political journey.

Reflecting on her unwavering dedication, the former Chief Minister noted that she stood by the party during both its highs and lows. “Her contributions to the party will never be forgotten,” Sarkar remarked. As he recounted Pal’s life and legacy, emotion filled the room, with many attendees moved to tears.

CPIM leaders on stage also paid tribute to Pal’s career, recognizing her as a pivotal figure in the organization.
