CPIM holds rally against high price rise, unemployment

Agartala, 7th November 2023:  In a fervent display of solidarity, the CPIM Ramnagar Region Committee today held a protest rally against high price rise and rising of unemployment in the state.

The demonstration encompassed a range of demands, including the rollback of recent price hikes on essential commodities, expedited filling of vacant government positions, and the generation of employment opportunities for the unemployed.

 CPIM Sadar District Committee Secretary, Shubashis Ganguly, delivered a powerful address condemning the government’s policies. He affirmed that, in accordance with the directives of the CPIM Central Committee, the protest initiative was launched to press for the rescindment of the recent price surge and to advocate for substantial job creation. The protest, scheduled from September 1-7, was marked by marches across various routes within Agartala city.

The procession culminated in a spirited rally at the Lake Choumhoni area, where attendees voiced their solidarity with the cause. The event showcased a robust presence of dedicated activists and supporters, underscoring the collective determination to address the pressing economic concerns facing the region.

CPIM’s call for economic reforms resonated strongly, resonating with citizens grappling with the impact of rising prices and unemployment. The party’s resolute stance sends a clear message to authorities, urging them to heed the demands of the people and take substantive steps towards rectifying the current economic challenges.
