CPI(M) leaders submit seven demands to Raghunathpur gram panchayat

Agartala, 3rd May 2025:  In a move to address pressing civic issues, the Bishalgarh CPI(M) local committee led a deputation to the Panchayat Secretary of Raghunathpur Gram Panchayat this afternoon presenting a seven-point charter of demands for immediate infrastructural improvements.

The delegation comprising CPI(M) North Zone Committee leaders Pradip Debnath, Himadri Shekhar Ghosh, Mosharraf Hossain and Nurnahar Begum emphasized the urgent need for remedial action regarding deteriorating roads and essential facilities within the panchayat area.

The demands put forth include: Immediate repair of dilapidated roads in Noapara village; Restoration of damaged roads in Tebaria village; Urgent repairs on the Tebaria road connecting Karuimura to Noapara Mosque; Maintenance of the water source in Karuimura Bazar; Rehabilitation of the deteriorated road from Karuimura School to Ratannagar Bazar; Repair of the road from Karuimura Bazar to Rajendra Sutra to Bari Bhaya Jalshayo; Construction of a toilet facility for traders at Karuimura Bazar.

In response, the Raghunathpur Gram Panchayat Secretary acknowledged the concerns raised and assured the deputation that immediate action would be initiated to address the issues.

The CPI(M) representatives reiterated the necessity of swift implementation, citing the growing hardships faced by local residents due to poor infrastructure. They emphasized that these measures were crucial to improving the overall living conditions in the region.
