Agartala, 28th November 2025: The CPIM today commemorated the 206th birth anniversary of renowned philosopher and sociologist Friedrich Engels with solemnity at its state headquarters.
The day began with party leaders offering floral tributes at Engels’ portrait, paying respect to his enduring legacy.
Senior Left leader Shankar Prasad Dutta addressed the gathering, reflecting on Engels’ life, philosophy, and his pivotal role in shaping social transformation. Dutta emphasized that Engels’ vision of liberating the working class and establishing a just society remains equally relevant today. “His ideas and theories continue to inspire generations of struggling people in their journey toward justice,” he said.
The commemorative program was attended by CPI(M) leaders, cadres, and supporters. The tribute concluded with brief speeches, floral offerings, and discussions honoring Engels’ contributions to the global socialist movement.
