Agartala: June 06. Animal Resources Development Department (ARDD) and SC Welfare minister Sudhangshu Das today ordered to take strict action against four employees of SC welfare for dereliction of duty.
SC Welfare Minister Das today paid a surprise visit at the office of SC Welfare to inspect the work at the office.
He said, “It is my continuous process. I visit the departments to check whether the government schemes or decisions are implementing in a proper way or not. Office visit is also compulsory as for this the employees get motivated and also they will be cautioned”.
The minister however claimed that in some places work culture has came back and in some places problems are there.
“The state government is determined to bring back work culture in various departments in Tripura. It has already been decided to continue work in the office from 10 am to 5:30 pm. The government has also issued a notification to be present in various government offices by 10 AM in the morning. However during my visit I have found some officials were absent without any reason”, said the minister.
He said, today at around 11 o’clock when he went to the SC Welfare office found out that three government employees did not come to the office on time. Moreover, another worker has not been coming to the office regularly for the past three months.
“It was very sad to see that some employees are very efficient and working according to their wills. Today I have found out that three government employees did not come to the office on time. Moreover, another worker has not been coming to the office regularly for the past three months. So I have ordered to take strict action against four officials for not coming to the office on time. I have ordered to issue temporary suspension to one of the four and show cause notice to the other three”, said the minister.
He claimed that bad culture will not be tolerated in government offices. It is not allowed to take decisions on public welfare only sitting in the office. To implement it, importance should be given to the work of government employees from the minister. He warned that such operations will continue in the coming days.
