Agartala, 18th March 2026:   Matabari Assembly constituency is witnessing a surge of development, driven by the relentless efforts of its popular legislator, Abhishek Debroy. His initiatives have already brought several projects to life, reshaping the face of the region.

In a significant step forward, nearly Rs 3 crore has been sanctioned for the construction of the approach road to Udaipur Railway Station. The MLA himself inaugurated the project this morning with a ceremonial bhumi puja. Once completed, the new road is expected to transform local connectivity, benefiting thousands of residents.

The event was attended by BJP Gomati District Secretary Uttam Dey, Matabari Panchayat Samiti Chairperson Shilpi Das, Mandal President Biswajit Marak, along with other party leaders.

The project also carries special importance for religious tourism. The Tripurasundari Temple—one of the revered Shakti Peeths—draws devotees from across India and abroad every day. For the lakhs of pilgrims visiting the shrine, the new approach road will be a blessing, ensuring easier, faster, and safer travel from the railway station to the temple.

Local residents believe MLA Debroy is living up to his motto of “work, not words.” With this steady pace of development, Matabari is poised to emerge as one of the state’s most important hubs in the near future.
