Agartala, 18th June 2025: Directorate of Elementary Education for the first time arranged a special training programme called ‘Guru Dakshata’, exclusively for the newly recruited 224 teachers, who have joined their service just on 16th June, 2025. Among the 224 teachers 63 are UGTs and 161 are GTs. The goal of this training programme is to develop competency of teachers on various schemes, projects and practices running under school education department. This is a 3-days training program from 18th to 20th June, 2025.
The inaugural session of the training programme was graced by the presence of Director, Elementary Education, N. C. Sharma, Joint State Project Director of Samagra Shiksha, Utpal Chakraborty, Joint Director, Elementary Education Harshita Biswas, Deputy Director Rudradeep Nath and OSD, Elementary Education Abhijit Samajpati.
Director in his words explained the significance of this training programme. He mentioned that to develop teachers competent enough and to help them to overcome their confusions regarding the practices under school education department this training programme has been arranged. He prioritizes the matter of punctuality and discipline of the teachers. Director emphasizes on class appropriate learning, strengthening of foundational learning etc. through his words.
Joint Director mentioned that the participants qualified TET examination and joined the service, so they are expected to be more responsible to their service. As there are some constrains regarding the number of primary teachers in respect of the number of primary students so they need to take additional responsibility for giving students quality education.
Deputy Director urges participants to remain attentive during the training programme and try to build concrete concept about all the practices running under the Department and also mentioned to ensure them about the effective implementation of the projects and schemes. He also mentioned that teachers should take additional care about the PM Poshan Scheme of their concerned school.
OSD Abhijit Samajpati emphasizes on activity based learning, proper implementation of NIPUN Mission, Pre-school Education etc. He also mentioned that the teachers who will work for pre-primary classes should fix target to develop pre-primary sections better and focus should be on developing student’s interest towards to school.
On the first and second day of training programme, Deputy Director of Elementary Education, Rudradeep Nath, OSD Elementary Education Abhijit Samajpati and Vidyajyoti State Co-ordinator Swapan Majumder will take sessions as resource person. The topics of first day session are Extension of NEP-2020, Early Child Care and Education and PM Poshan. On second day the topics will be NIPUN Mission, Classroom Management and different components of Samagra Shiksha. The State Co-ordinators of Samagra Shiksha will also remain present to discuss about the components of Samagra Shiksha.
On the last day of training programme OSD Secondary Education, Siddhartha Sankar Roy will also remain present as resource person to enrich teachers with the concepts of values and ethics. Additionally, from Tripura AIDS Control Society, Subhrajit Bhattacharya will also take sessions about how to generate awareness among students about HIV AIDS disease and its controlling measures.
School Education Department for the first time arranged such training prograamme for teachers in the beginning of teachers service like TPS, TCS jobs to make teachers more skillful.
