Agartala, Nov 28: A discussion meeting on various schemes launched by the Prime Minister was held at Udaipur Town Hall on Tuesday. The meeting was attended by Udaipur Municipal Council Chairman Shital Chandra Majumder, Gomati District Zilla Parishad Saha-Sabhadipati Debal Deb Roy, Gomati District Additional District Magistrate Pankaj Chakraborty and officials from various departments.
The meeting focused on the Prime Minister’s Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana, which aims to provide financial security to girl children by opening bank or post office accounts in their names from 0-10 years of age. The meeting also discussed the Prime Minister’s Stand Up India Scheme, which offers loans to entrepreneurs from the manufacturing and agricultural sectors. The meeting also covered the employment generation program scheme and the agricultural machinery scheme, which provide loans to people above 18 years of age for self-employment.
Debanjali Roy, police officer of Amarpur sub-division of Gomati district, gave a detailed presentation on cybercrime and how to prevent it. She also explained the benefits of the Prime Minister’s schemes for the common people and urged them to avail them.
The meeting witnessed a significant turnout of participants, who expressed their interest and queries on the schemes. The meeting ended with a vote of thanks by the chairman.
