Agartala, 21st January 2026: Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha today informed that he has invited the newly elected BJP national president, Nitin Nabin, to visit Tripura and discussed ways to strengthen the party in the state.
Dr. Saha said that party presidents usually change every three years, though extensions have been given on different occasions. However, this time there was no exception.
“After a long time, Nitin Nabin has become the national president of the party. I congratulated him on behalf of our state and invited him to visit Tripura. He said that he has visited the North East, including Tripura, many times for party-related work. I told him that now he is the All India national president, and therefore I am formally inviting him from Tripura. I am sure he will come,” Dr. Saha said.
The Chief Minister added that discussions on several matters were held, focusing on strengthening the party in Tripura.
“Although I visited his residence for a short time, we had meaningful discussions and he gave some directions. Everyone knows what Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said. Under his guidance, the party will work, and the party and the government will function in parallel to build a Viksit Bharat,” he added.
