Agartala, 8th May 2026: A three-day district-level training camp on Census 2027 commenced today at the conference hall of the Udaipur Circuit House, drawing enthusiastic participation from officials and staff.
On the opening day, national-level trainer Shubhojit Debroy conducted detailed sessions covering census methodology, data collection techniques, and the importance of accuracy. He also guided participants on the use of modern technology and strategies to address challenges that may arise during fieldwork.
Tripura’s State Census Director Ratan Biswas inaugurated the program, emphasizing that accurate census data forms the foundation of state planning and development. He noted that the primary objective of the training is to enhance the skills of field-level workers to ensure the success of the upcoming exercise.
The inaugural session was attended by Additional District Magistrates Subhash Acharya and Sanjib Debbarma, along with Sub-Divisional Magistrates, Additional SDMs, and Block Officers from Udaipur, Amarpur, and Karbook subdivisions, as well as eight blocks across the district.
Officials were reminded that their role will be crucial in ensuring the smooth execution of the census. Over the course of three days, participants will receive hands-on training designed to prepare them for efficient field operations. The administration expressed confidence that this camp will play a vital role in conducting a precise and reliable census in the state.
