Surprise inspection at Khowai Diagnostic Centres: Strict vigilance on PCPNDT Act compliance

Agartala, 8th May 2026:   In a bid to ensure transparency and accountability in the district’s healthcare services, Khowai District Magistrate and Collector Rajat Panth carried out surprise inspections at several ultrasound and diagnostic centres in Khowai town on Thursday.

During the sudden drive, the District Magistrate personally examined records and service procedures at multiple clinics, including High-Tech Medical Centre at BPAC Para, Shri Shri Diagnostic Centre on Sukanta Palli Road, and Human Care Pathology. Special attention was given to verifying licenses, mandatory registers, and particularly the “Form-F” documents required under the PCPNDT Act.

Officials stated that the inspection aimed to confirm whether private clinics were adhering to government guidelines and regulatory norms. Alongside private facilities, the District Magistrate also visited Khowai District Hospital to review infrastructure and the quality of medical services provided there.

The district administration emphasized that such monitoring will continue in the future to prevent irregularities and to ensure that citizens receive reliable and quality healthcare. The sudden inspection created a stir among diagnostic centres, highlighting the administration’s determination to enforce compliance.
