District-level Non-Residential Tennis Summer Coaching Camp to kick off in West district on August 23

Agartala, August 03: West Tripura District Administration, in collaboration with the Sports Department, has taken a commendable step towards promoting tennis among the youth. A non-residential summer coaching camp is set to be organized at the Dashrath’s State Tennis Sports Complex in Badarghat, the capital city.

The district governor of the western district, Debapriya Vardhan, officially announced the exciting news in a press conference held at the conference hall of the district magistrate’s office on Thursday. The coaching camp is scheduled to span over 5 days, starting from August 23 and concluding on August 27.

This summer coaching camp aims to provide youngsters with an opportunity to learn and improve their tennis skills under the guidance of experienced coaches. The program will be conducted in three groups based on age categories – 5 to 8 years old, 8 to 12 years old, and under 12 years old, ensuring that children of all ages can participate and benefit from the camp.

By organizing such initiatives, the West Tripura District Administration and the Sports Department are striving to cultivate a culture of sports and athleticism among the youth. Through tennis, the participants will not only develop physical fitness but also learn valuable life skills like discipline, teamwork, and perseverance.
