Agartala, 19th August 2026 : A doctor’s laptop was allegedly stolen from the premises of GB Hospital, triggering an investigation by the NCC Police Station. Police subsequently recovered the stolen laptop along with two mobile phones and arrested one person in connection with the incident.
Police sources informed, the laptop belonging to a doctor at GB Hospital went missing from the hospital premises. Following the discovery, the hospital authorities and the concerned doctor lodged a complaint with the NCC Police Station.
Acting on the complaint, police immediately launched an investigation and gathered information from various sources. Based on crucial leads obtained during the inquiry, a police team conducted a raid and recovered the stolen laptop and two mobile phones.
One person suspected of involvement in the theft was arrested during the operation. The recovered items have been taken into police custody, while investigators are examining whether other individuals were involved in the incident.
NCC Police Station Officer-in-Charge Paritosh Das said the investigation was initiated immediately after the complaint was received. He stated that the accused was arrested and the stolen laptop and two mobile phones were recovered from his possession.
Police are now interrogating the accused to ascertain further details, including how and from where the items were stolen. The investigation is continuing, and police are also examining the possibility of involvement of others in the incident.
