Agartala, 19th August 2026 : Coming to the aid of a family living in a remote and inaccessible hilly area, Jolaibari MLA and Minister Shuklacharan Noatia has taken steps to address their long-standing problems related to poor road connectivity.
The family, residing at Debakanta Para under Srikantabari ADC Village in the Koaifang area, has reportedly been facing severe difficulties for years due to the absence of proper roads. Located in a remote hilly region, the area has limited transportation facilities, making even routine travel a major challenge for the family.
Reaching the main road during emergencies has also become a difficult task for the residents, leaving the family virtually isolated from essential services and facilities.
The issue recently came to public attention after the family’s plight was highlighted by the media. After learning about the situation, Minister Shuklacharan Noatia took the matter seriously and directed a representative team to visit the remote area and assess the situation on the ground.
Following his instructions, the team travelled through the difficult terrain and reached Debakanta Para. The members met the affected family and heard about their long-standing transportation problems, daily hardships and other difficulties.
The representative team also extended financial assistance to the family as a gesture of support.
Local residents have welcomed the minister’s intervention, describing it as an expression of humanitarian responsibility towards people living in remote areas. They said that the problems faced by families living far from main roads often remain unnoticed, and the minister’s prompt response after the media highlighted the issue has brought fresh hope to the affected family.
The initiative also underlines the importance of ensuring that the benefits of development and government assistance reach people living in the most remote parts of the state, rather than remaining limited to areas with better connectivity.
Residents now hope that following the field-level assessment, the concerned departments will take concrete steps towards finding a permanent solution to the family’s long-standing connectivity problems and other basic difficulties.
