Agartala, 13th May 2025:   Despite the construction of a drainage system in Kadamtala Bazar, North Tripura district, residents and traders continue to struggle with waterlogging during light rain. Due to the lack of proper outlets for water to flow from the road into the drain, streets remain submerged, causing severe inconvenience to pedestrians, shop owners, and drivers.

At times, accumulated rainwater has even threatened to enter roadside shops, raising concerns among market traders and local businesses. Frustrated by the persistent issue, traders, commuters, and the general public have repeatedly urged the administration to take corrective action. However, under pressure from leaders of the ruling party, many have refrained from voicing their concerns openly.Seeking a resolution, affected individuals have reached out to news representatives, highlighting the urgency of the matter. Locals demand immediate intervention to improve the drainage system and prevent further disruptions.
