Agartala, 23rd May 2025: A fatal road accident in the Bachaibari area of Khowai has left the locality in mourning after a driver lost his life in a head-on collision today.
Reportedly, the Nagaland-bound vehicle was traveling from Agartala to Silchar when it crashed into a stationary goods vehicle bearing registration number TR05C-1510, which was parked along the road while en route from Dharmanagar to Agartala. The collision was severe, prompting locals to alert the fire brigade immediately.
Rescue teams rushed to the scene and transported the injured to Khowai District Hospital. However, upon examination, doctors declared the driver identified as 41-year-old Ismail Mia deceased.
Authorities have launched an investigation into the accident to determine the exact cause and circumstances surrounding the tragic event.
