Agartala: September 10. With just 40 days remaining for the universal celebration of Durga Puja, Agartala city is abuzz with preparations for the grand festivities.

All administrative gears are in motion to ensure a seamless experience for devotees and visitors alike. The Defense Administration has been actively engaging with local clubs to guarantee a peaceful atmosphere throughout the Puja period.

Under the jurisdiction of the East Agartala police station, nearly a hundred pujas are scheduled to take place. In a meeting convened at the East Agartala Police Station, various club representatives, along with the Sadar Divisional Police Officer DP Roy, gathered to discuss strategies for cooperation. The primary aim of this collaborative effort is to maintain peace and harmony in their respective areas.

During the meeting, the Sadar Sub-Divisional Police Officer emphasized the significance of cooperation from the clubs, especially during the peak puja days. Over the years, there have been occasional complaints, and to preempt any recurrence, proactive discussions were held. The focus was on ensuring smooth traffic flow in the club areas and avoiding congestion.

In addition to traffic management, special arrangements have been put in place to maintain a drug-free environment throughout the Puja celebrations. This initiative underlines the commitment of the authorities to prioritize safety and well-being during this auspicious occasion.

As the countdown to Durga Puja continues, the collaborative efforts between the police administration and local clubs promise a joyous and incident-free celebration for all residents and visitors in Agartala. The city is gearing up to welcome the Goddess with open arms and hearts. Stay tuned for more updates as the festivities draw nearer.
