Agartala, 13th December 2024:   The Democratic Youth Federation of India (DYFI) and Tribal Youth Federation (TYF) have taken to the streets in protest, demanding the restoration of the rule of law in the state, among other key issues. The protest procession began with a gathering at Durga Chowmuhani on Friday.

DYFI State Secretary Nabarun Deb, speaking to journalists, highlighted the growing problem of unemployment in the state. “The unemployment issue is worsening every day. Young men and women are tirelessly searching for work, but ministers are deceiving them from their offices in Secretariat. Various departments issue recruitment notifications only to cancel them later. Additionally, Tripura has become a hub for drugs, and the administration is not taking strict action against this menace,” Deb stated.

The DYF-TYF has organized statewide protest processions to demand three key points. “We are marching across the state to address these pressing issues. Various headquarters and divisional committees will continue organizing these marches until January 5,” Deb added.

The protest has drawn significant attention, with participants calling for immediate action to address unemployment, ensure transparency in recruitment processes, and enforce strict measures against drug-related activities in Tripura. The procession is a clear message to the administration to take prompt and effective steps in resolving these issues.
