Early morning queues, no cylinders: Bishalgarh residents protest mismanagement

Date:

Agartala, 25th April 2026 :   Allegations of severe harassment have surfaced against the Bishalgarh Ma Kali Indian Gas Agency. Consumers claim that despite the agency’s stated rule of distributing gas until 8 a.m., the reality is far more chaotic. Residents report being forced to stand in line as early as 4 or 5 a.m., yet many still fail to receive cylinders.

Adding to the frustration, customers are required to queue twice—once at the counter and again at the warehouse. Delays in the arrival of gas delivery trucks, or in some cases their complete absence, have further worsened the situation. Office-goers and daily wage earners say the disorder is preventing them from reaching work on time.

Locals are questioning why, if the official rule is distribution until 8 a.m., such mismanagement persists. Many believe the system is designed to harass ordinary people rather than serve them efficiently.
