East Agartala Police arrests two thieves at North Banamalipur case, recover stolen goods

Agartala, 19th March 2025:   The East Agartala police station staff has successfully arrested two notorious thieves and recovered stolen goods. The arrested individuals were identified as Balaram Das and Sukhen Rishi Das. They were presented before the court today to seek police remand, authorities confirmed.

A police officer stated, “A group of thieves raided the shop of Suman Debbarma in North Banamalipur during the early hours of March 17. The culprits fled with two cylinders and other shop items. Following this, the shop owner filed a case with the police.”

The officer further revealed that the thieves also targeted the Anandamayee Kali Mandir, stealing a prostration box. “Based on the complaints, we initiated an investigation, which led to the arrest of the two suspects. We have recovered two cylinders and cash from their possession,” the officer added.
