Agartala, 18th August 2025: The driver of the Suzuki Ecco car involved in a tragic road accident at Gokulnagar yesterday, which claimed the lives of a husband and wife has surrendered at Teliamura police station today.
Police sources confirmed that the driver has been identified as Jiban Debnath alias Kishore. After the incident, he reportedly went straight to his residence in Teliamura to see his two children before surrendering himself to the authorities.
The accident took place today left the local people in shock. Both victims, a married couple died on the spot prompting swift police action to trace the vehicle and its driver.
Further investigation is underway to ascertain the circumstances that led to the fatal crash.
