Agartala, 8th August 2026 : Higher Education Minister Kishor Barman said education would remain the strongest foundation for social progress and the overall development of Nalchar, while calling upon students to dream big and pursue their goals through determination and hard work.

Speaking at a felicitation ceremony held at the Lakshandhepa High School hall, Barman honoured meritorious students who successfully cleared the 2026 Madhyamik and Higher Secondary examinations. The programme, organised as part of an annual tradition, aimed at promoting the vision of a “Unified and Well-Educated Nalchar.”

Barman expressed happiness at felicitating 76 successful students from the Rajibnagar and Lakshandhepa Gram Panchayat areas. He said such recognition was intended not merely to celebrate academic achievement but also to motivate younger students to pursue excellence.

The minister highlighted the inspiring journeys of successful people from Nalchar who, despite facing various hardships, had gone on to serve the nation as doctors, engineers, TCS professionals, IFS officers and senior government officials. Their experiences of struggle, perseverance and achievement, he said, could provide valuable motivation to the present generation.

He expressed confidence that the scientists, administrators, doctors, engineers, teachers, entrepreneurs and other nation-builders of tomorrow would emerge from among the region’s talented students.

“Education is the true strength of a society,” Barman said, stressing the need to make education a shared aspiration of every family in Nalchar and excellence the goal of every student.

He congratulated the students, parents, teachers and all others associated with the programme, saying that an educated Nalchar would become a developed Nalchar, contributing to the broader vision of a developed Tripura and developed India.
