Agartala, 31st March 2025: Sepahijala district witnessed a peaceful and joyous celebration of Eid-ul-Fitr, with the central prayer held at Boxanagar Eidgah. Among the attendees was MLA Tafajjal Hossain, who joined the prayers alongside Panchayat Samiti member Ruhul Amin and others. The prayers at Boxanagar Central Eidgah were led by Imam Hazrat Maulana Shafiqul Islam.
Eid-ul-Fitr, symbolizing the joy of breaking the month-long fast, is one of the two major religious festivals for Muslims, the other being Eid-ul-Adha. After a month of fasting and fulfilling religious duties like Fitra and Zakat, Muslims celebrate this day with great fervor, exchanging greetings of “Eid Mubarak” to spread goodwill and cheer.
The central Eidgah grounds near the SP office in Bishramganj also witnessed an impressive turnout, with over 5,000 attendees offering prayers. Hafiz Zakir Hossain led prayers for world peace, while Hafiz Abdul Karim conducted the rituals. Speaking to journalists, members of the Bishramganj Eidgah Committee, religious scholars, and local officials conveyed their heartfelt Eid Mubarak wishes to people of all communities, emphasizing harmony, unity, and goodwill for Tripura and beyond.
Maulana Zakir Hossain Aljalili, Vice President of the Bishramganj Eidgah Committee and State Secretary of Nadwa, highlighted the festival’s message of peace and solidarity, urging collaboration and suggestions from local officials to ensure the smooth functioning of the Eidgah.
Notably, Eid prayers were conducted at 32 locations across Boxanagar block, symbolizing the widespread spirit of unity and devotion.
