Er Paramananda Sarkar Banerjee appointed as new OSD to CM Dr Saha

.Agartala: Aug 02. Retired engineer Paramananda Sarkar Banerjee has been appointed as the new Officer on Special Duty (OSD) of the Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha. The General Administration (Personnel and Training) department in an order on July 22 last engaged Banerjee as OSD to CM Dr Saha as per the prescribed terms and conditions with immediate effect and until further orders.

Er Paramananda Sarkar Banerjee is an electrical engineer by profession. He retired as Chief Inspector of Factories and Boilers department in the year 2015 and during his tenure you played a vital role in setting up of the combined cycle power plants of OTPC at Palatana and of NEEPCO at Ramchandra Nagar.  He had a versatile service career covering various organisations prior to joining the Government of Tripura services in 1990, in his second spell. 

Being selected by UPSC, he worked as Assistant Director in the Central Electricity Authority (CEA) under the Ministry of Energy, Government of India (Central Power Engineering Services) as a Group-A officer. He was deeply involved in the power system planning of North eastern region, Eastern region as well as Southern region.

He started his career as a Junior Engineer in Gumti Hydro Electric Power Station under Tripura Electrical department. Thereafter he started his own private Firm for erection and commissioning of EHT power transmission lines. Er Sarkar Banerjee had also worked as a Lecturer in Tripura Engineering College (TEC) during 1988-90. Er Sarkar Banerjee also possesses brilliant academic career of having secured first in last three consecutive academic years covering all other disciplines in TEC.
