Agartala, 30th August 2024: The internal conflict within the BJP’s Kamalpur faction is becoming increasingly evident. On Thursday night, the house of Yuva Morcha Kamalpur Mandal President Mrinmoy Bhattacharya was targeted with death threats.
In response to this alarming incident, a delegation from the Yuva Morcha Kamalpur Mandal visited the Kamalpur Police Station to submit a deputation to the Sub-Divisional Police Officer, demanding the immediate arrest of the accused. Present during the deputation were Yuva Morcha Kamalpur Mandal Vice President Joydeep Majumdar, Yuva Morcha Mandal General Secretary Dipankar Sinha, and other members.
“On Thursday night, Sajal Gope and his associates went to the house of our Mandal President Mrinmoy Bhattacharya and threatened to kill his elderly parents, using abusive language,” stated Joydeep Majumdar, Vice President of the Kamalpur Yuva Morcha Mandal. “We have given a deputation to the Sub-Divisional Police Officer to demand the arrest of the accused,” he added.
