Farmer’s Crops Destroyed by Miscreants in North Charilam

Agartala, 27th December 2025:  In a shocking incident late Wednesday night, unidentified miscreants destroyed crops belonging to a local farmer in the area near Charilam Ramakrishna Ashram, along the banks of the Rangapania River. The affected farmer has been identified as Uttam Saha.

According to local sources, the perpetrators entered Uttam Saha’s farmland under the cover of darkness and deliberately ruined his crops. The farmer was left stunned when he discovered the destruction in his field the following morning. He alleged that the act was intentional and has caused him significant financial loss.

The incident has caused widespread concern and outrage among local residents, who are demanding that the culprits be identified and punished promptly.

Speaking to reporters, Uttam Saha said, “My family’s livelihood depends on this crop. Destroying it under the cover of night has left us devastated.”

The farmer is preparing to file a formal written complaint with the authorities. The police have confirmed that an investigation into the matter is underway.
