Farmers’ development key to nation’s progress: Shukla Charan Noatia

Agartala, 25th April 2025:  Jolaibari Block witnessed a significant step towards agricultural empowerment today as Cooperative Minister Shukla Charan Noatia inaugurated the Debdaru Agri Sector Office at the Debdaru Community Hall.

Addressing the gathering, Noatia emphasized, “The economic development of the country will also be possible only if the farmers develop. The current state government is working towards that goal.”

Highlighting the government’s initiatives, Noatia stated, “We are opening Agri Sector Offices in rural areas to ensure farmers have access to seeds, fertilizers, pesticides, agricultural machinery, and expert advice on farming. Our goal is to double the income of farmers.”

He further elaborated on measures such as subsidized paddy procurement, distribution of agricultural machinery, and development of irrigation systems.

The minister urged agriculture officials to ensure farmers benefit from every project under the central and state governments. The program began with a one-minute silence to honor the tourists who lost their lives in Pahalgam, Kashmir. Shridam Das, Agricultural Superintendent of Jolaibari Agriculture Department delivered the welcome speech while Amal Majumdar, Pradhan of Debdaru Panchayat presided over the event.

They were also accompanied by Jolaibari BAC Chairman Ashok Mog, Jolaibari Panchayat Samity Chairman Tapas Dutta, Dakshin Tripura Zilla Parishad member Shambhu Manik, and social worker Sujit Datta. Farmers Mrinal Debnath and Apaitu Mog also shared their perspectives during the ceremony.
