Five held  at MBB Airport for illegal entry

Agartala, 11th May 2026:   Five youths from Sonamura were detained at Maharaja Bir Bikram Airport today after allegedly entering through the airport’s exit route in a vehicle, leading to a tense situation with security personnel. According to reports, the youths arrived at the airport in a vehicle bearing registration number TR 01 BW 0590 and attempted to enter through the road designated for outgoing traffic.

When airport authorities stopped them, an argument reportedly broke out, escalating the situation. Following the incident, personnel of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) intervened and detained the five individuals. They were later handed over, along with the vehicle, to the Airport Police Station for further investigation. The detained youths have been identified as Naim Hossain, Saiful Islam, Jafar Ali, Isim Miah, and Rubel Miah, all residents of Sonamura. Police have initiated an inquiry into the incident.
