Agartala, 5th June 2025 : Five fish traders were seriously injured when their vehicle overturned following a tire burst on National Highway No. 8 near Chechurimai Class XII School under Bishramganj Police Station this morning.
The accident involved a Mahindra Supra vehicle bearing registration number TR07D-1659 transporting fish from Melaghar Kemtali to Agartala. The injured traders- Indrajit Sarkar, Shimul Das, Nimai Das, Jatindra Das and Rajesh Das sustained severe injuries as the vehicle overturned.
Upon hearing the crash, locals rushed to the scene and alerted the Bishramganj Fire Department. Firefighters promptly arrived and transported the injured to Bishramganj Primary Health Center, where on-duty physician Dr. Pooja Dev provided initial treatment. The victims were later referred to Melaghar and Vishalgarh Subdistrict Hospital for further examinations, including X-rays.
Meanwhile, the accident triggered chaos as locals scrambled to collect the spilled fish from the overturned cart. The incident caused significant commotion in the area.
