Agartala, 31st December 2024: The Government Pensioners’ Association of Tripura convened its 45th Annual General Meeting on Tuesday at the Student Health Home in the capital city. The meeting focused on 22 key demands of the organization, bringing together a significant number of its members and leaders.
Attendees included the association’s secretary, president, publicity secretary, and other members. Speaking to reporters, Prabir Sarkar, the publicity secretary of the association, stated, “According to our organization’s constitution, we hold the Annual General Meeting every year.”
This year’s meeting saw the participation of around 232 representatives from across the state. The gathering aimed to discuss and adopt several new programs, alongside a detailed discussion on the association’s demands.
“The meeting will address various issues that are crucial to our members and outline the next steps in our ongoing efforts to advocate for their rights,” added Sarkar, emphasizing the importance of the event in shaping the association’s future strategies.
In addition to deliberating on the 22 demands, the meeting provided a platform for members to voice their concerns and contribute to the collective decision-making process. The association remains committed to working towards the welfare and interests of its members, ensuring their voices are heard and their needs addressed.
