Agartala: June 12. Chief Minister Prof. Dr Manik Saha on Monday said that his government is working to develop all the hospitals starting from Primary Health Care’s to District Hospitals, in a move to provide better health facilities to the people of the state.

He also said that the government is now working in developing the District Hospitals by setting up Trauma Care centres and other facilities to reduce the pressure of the state’s hospital.

CM Dr Saha said while inaugurating 10-bad new building of Kanchanmala Primary Health Care (PHC).

“To construct this newly 10-bad Kanchanmala Primary Health Care building, Rs 20.50 was spent. To provide 24×7 medical facilities we have started this hospital. The main aim of our government is to develop the infrastructure of heath care in a bid to provide better health facilities.  In coming days our government has a plan to develop all the hospitals starting from PHCs to District Hospitals. Very good facilities kept here from the health departments”, said the CM.

The CM also urged everyone here to maintain the cleanliness of the hospital and appealed to think the hospital as temple.

“Not to spit here and there and provide help to health workers. It is your responsibility to maintain the hospital. Earlier people used to rush outside of the state for better health facilities but now we have created our own superspeciality hospital. We are working to provide best health facilities here. To reduce the load capacity in State Hospital, we are working to develop the district hospital setting up all the facilities and would also strengthen the sub-divisional hospital. And people of our state should keep their faith on the doctor while doctors and other health workers also have to behave politely with the patients”, he said.

The CM expressed gratitude to PM Modi for introducing the Ayushman Bharat Card. Under this scheme, family members receive Rs 5 lakh for treatment, while the Tripura government provides Rs 10 lakh, which is a unique offering. Over 13 lakh cards have been distributed so far.
