Agartala, 3rd May 2026: On the occasion of Rabindra Jayanti, Kailashahar witnessed a vibrant and large-scale sit-and-draw competition organized by Chitrankan Art School. The event, held at Unakoti Kalakshetra, was the first of its kind in the subdivision, drawing enthusiastic participation from children across different age groups.
The initiative aimed to nurture young talent and showcase their artistic creativity. The program was conducted under the guidance of the school’s principal, Binoy Kumar Dey, along with his wife Suparna Sutradhar. Art teachers from various parts of the subdivision also worked tirelessly to ensure the success of the event.
At the conclusion of the program, nearly 700 students were awarded medals to encourage their participation. Principal Dey announced that certificates and special prizes would be presented to the top performers in the coming days.
Parents expressed delight at the initiative, while local artists and dignitaries praised the effort, urging for more such creative events to be organized in the future.
