Agartala, 25th September 2025: Dasarath Deb Memorial Residential Higher Secondary School in Satchand Gram Panchayat organized a remarkable tree plantation drive today, echoing a powerful message of environmental stewardship. The event was part of the “Seva Pakhwada” initiative launched to commemorate the birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Damodardas Modi.
State Minister Shukla Charan Noatia inaugurated the program by planting a sapling, setting the tone for a day filled with enthusiasm and greenery. Students, brimming with excitement, joined hands to plant a variety of fruit-bearing and shade-giving trees including mango, jamun, and litchi across the school campus. The act of planting symbolized a collective pledge to nurture life and protect nature.
In his address, Minister Noatia emphasized the critical role of afforestation in combating global warming and climate change. “Planting trees is our strongest weapon against environmental threats. Today’s initiative is a priceless gift for future generations,” he stated.
The event was chaired by Rajib Das, Pradhan of Satchand Gram Panchayat, and graced by special guests including MDC Debajit Tripura, Satchand Block Panchayat Samiti Chairperson Prabhas Lodh and IFS officer Prasad Rao V. Each dignitary contributed by planting saplings and reaffirming their commitment to environmental conservation.
Beyond the ceremonial planting, the school organized awareness sessions for students, highlighting the importance of everyday actions in preserving the environment. The young faces lit up with dreams of a greener world, bound in harmony with nature.
