Agartala, 18th April 2026: Panic has gripped residents of Kailashahar’s Jalai Gram Panchayat (Ward No. 4) after a young housewife mysteriously went missing while reportedly going to see a doctor. The missing woman, identified as Beauty Dutta, left her four-year-old daughter at home before heading to Unakoti District Hospital on yesterday morning. She never returned.
Family sources informed that Beauty left home around 9 a.m. but failed to come back even by evening. Relatives and neighbors searched extensively across possible locations, but no trace of her was found. The family confirmed that she was not carrying a mobile phone, making communication impossible.
Beauty Dutta, married to Manas Dutta five years back, hails from Fatikroy under the jurisdiction of Fatikroy Police Station. Her husband has been living in Delhi for work. This afternoon, her father and in-laws lodged a formal missing diary at Kailashahar Women Police Station.
Speaking to the media, family members made an emotional appeal to the authorities to trace her at the earliest. Meanwhile, the couple’s young daughter has been inconsolable since her mother’s disappearance.
The incident has sparked widespread concern in the locality. Police have launched an investigation based on the missing diary and initiated search operations to locate the woman.
