Agartala, 27th December 2025: In a major anti-narcotics operation, police recovered a large quantity of ganja from a deep forest area of Dashu Para under the jurisdiction of Teliamura Police Station.
Acting on specific intelligence inputs, Teliamura Police conducted a special raid in the forest area. During the operation, four abandoned bags were recovered from the jungle. Upon inspection, the bags were found to contain a total of 37 packets of ganja weighing approximately 37 kilograms.
Preliminary investigation suggests that the contraband was hidden at the spot with the intention of being smuggled. However, no arrests could be made during the operation as no one was present at the site at the time of the raid.
Police have registered a case under relevant sections of law and initiated an investigation to identify those involved in the drug trafficking racket and to trace the source of the seized ganja.
Providing details of the operation, Officer-in-Charge of Teliamura Police Station, Jayanta Kumar Dey, stated that anti-drug operations would be further intensified and all those involved would be identified and brought to justice.
