Agartala, December 09: In a significant turn of events, the nation is witnessing widespread agitation following the recovery of more than Rs 300 crore during an Income Tax raid at the residence of Congress MP Dhiraj Sahu. The BJP state president Rajib Bhattacharjee on Saturday expressed his condemnation during a press conference held at the state BJP office.

During the press conference, Bhattacharjee revealed that the staggering amount of money recovered has surpassed Rs 300 crore, leading to the malfunction of the currency counting machine. In the wake of this incident, leaders from the Congress party have opted for a subdued response, prompting allegations from Bhattacharya that the funds were illicitly accumulated at the expense of the public.

BJP state president further asserted that the opposition party is making deliberate attempts to undermine the country’s resources. In response to these developments, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has pledged to identify those implicated in corruption, ensure the restitution of misappropriated funds, and mete out appropriate punishment to those found guilty.
