Indian Army engages youth in Agartala to commemorate first anniversary of ‘Operation Sindoor’

Agartala, 30th April 2026:   As part of the first anniversary commemorations of Operation Sindoor, Albert Ekka Brigade under the aegis of Red Shield Division, Spear Corps conducted a series of motivational and awareness interactions with students across prominent educational institutions in Agartala, Tripura.

The outreach programme was conducted over three consecutive days, from 27 to 29 April 2026, and witnessed enthusiastic participation from over 1,100 students. The first session was held at Tripura Institute of Technology College on 27 April, attended by approximately 450 students. This was followed by an interaction at Government Women’s College, Tripura on 28 April, with around 425 students. The final session was conducted at Umakant Academy Higher Secondary School on 29 April, engaging approximately 320 students.

During these sessions, students were presented with detailed briefings and multimedia presentations highlighting the planning, execution, and significance of Operation Sindoor. The interactions aimed to instill values of discipline, leadership, patriotism, and a sense of national service among the youth, while also providing insight into career opportunities and challenges in the Armed Forces.

The initiative fostered meaningful engagement between Army personnel and students, generating awareness about the role of the Armed Forces in safeguarding national security. The sessions proved impactful in motivating young minds towards personal excellence and encouraging them to contribute positively to nation-building.

The Indian Army remains committed to inspiring the youth and strengthening the bond between the Armed Forces and the citizens of the nation.
