Agartala, 2nd September 2026 : A delegation of the Indigenous People’s Front of Tripura (IPFT), led by party president and former minister Prem Kumar Reang, general secretary Swapan Debbarma and other central executive members, met senior BJP leaders at the State BJP headquarters in Krishnanagar, Agartala, on Wednesday.
The meeting was attended by BJP National General Secretary (Organisation) B. L. Santhosh, Tripura BJP state president Abhishek Debroy, Tripura state in-charge Dr. Rajdeep Roy, and Assam and Tripura in-charge Ravindra Raju.
According to the leaders, the meeting focused on strengthening political cooperation between the two parties and improving coordination at different levels. Discussions also covered matters related to the overall development of Tripura and the need for continued cooperation in the interests of the state.
The IPFT delegation described the interaction as a productive one and reaffirmed its commitment to working together for the development and prosperity of Tripura.
The meeting assumes significance amid ongoing political developments in the state, with both parties maintaining their alliance and seeking greater coordination on organisational and political issues.
