Agartala, 13th September 2025: In light of the evolving political climate in Tripura, the Indigenous People’s Front of Tripura (IPFT) has announced plans to meet with Chief Minister Manik Saha to ensure that law and order in the state remains intact. The decision was made during a review meeting held today at the Agartala Press Club.
Speaking to reporters after the meeting, IPFT General Secretary Swapan Debbarma stated that party leaders convened to assess the outcomes of a recent public rally organized by the IPFT. The gathering also focused on the growing political tensions in the state, particularly following provocative statements made by leaders from both Bengali and Tipra Motha factions.
“There is a risk that these developments could disrupt peace and harmony in the state,” Debbarma warned. “To prevent any deterioration in law and order, we have resolved to draw the Chief Minister’s attention to these concerns.”
He further emphasized that IPFT, as a coalition partner in the state government, will seek a direct meeting with the Chief Minister to discuss measures for maintaining administrative stability amid the current political unrest.
