ISKCON holds grand deepdaan and harinam procession at Sonamura, drawing thousands

Agartala, 1st November 2025:  A vibrant spiritual atmosphere enveloped Sonamura on Friday evening as thousands of devotees gathered to celebrate the auspicious occasion of Damodar month.

The event, centered around the Jagaddhatri Maa Niranjan ceremony organized by Sarathi Sangha at the heart of Sonamura, featured a grand Deepdaan and Harinam Sankirtan procession led by the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON).

More than 5,000 participants joined the devotional march, illuminating the town with oil lamps and chanting the holy names in unison.

The procession not only showcased deep religious fervor but also fostered a message of harmony and collective joy among the residents.

ISKCON’s initiative received an overwhelming response, transforming the town into a beacon of spiritual unity and cultural celebration.
